Drawn To The Future

Exhibitions
27 Jul–3 Oct 2015

How do we visualise the invisible? Can the games industry influence planning decisions? What if Facilities Managers could see through walls?

Drawn To The Future, a major summer exhibition from The Building Centre, explores innovations in visualisation. Technology is changing the way we communicate ideas - from sharing an initial hand-drawn sketch with thousands of online followers to commissioning an interactive film to improve stakeholder engagement. Designers have an ever-growing range of tools at their disposal.

This exhibition brings together the work of digital artists, data visualisation teams, academics, architects, engineers, programmers, games designers and model-makers to show how buildings and landscapes are being designed and demonstrated differently. Drawn to the Future celebrates traditional visual processes and presents the cutting edge technology revolutionising visualisation in the built environment. Join us in summer 2015 to find out how building maintenance teams might see-through walls to determine what repairs needs to be done, experience the gaming technology used by architects to ‘live specify’ interior design with a client and much, much more.
