The convergence of new digital tools, and the growing impact of ‘gamification’, is highlighted in this exploration by the Ordnance Survey. In this project OS Open digital map products integrate with Minecraft, the immensely successful ‘creative sandbox’ game that uses digital building blocks to enable players to construct worlds and overcome challenges. A range of real-world locations are travelled through in this video simulation recorded from the game environment.
