To build or not to build? To model make or not to model make? Join us to ponder the role of model making in architectural practice with Ed Fowles, director of Feilden Fowles, and Rawden Pettitt and Stephen Setford, director and model maker from Stanton Williams.

The talk explores why practices make models, considering how it forms an integral part of the working process and, weighing up the cost and time implications, to think about how it benefits practices of all sizes. Speakers explain how models are part of their working method, and show and tell examples from their studios – from 1:1 material tests to intricate site models.

If you are a young career architect considering the future of your practice, or someone interested in learning about the benefit of different model making methods, this talk is for you!
