Bishop’s Stortford Contemporary Timber Windows and Doors

1 Aug 2017
Case study

Dual finish made-to-order double glazed timber flush casements and doors were used to totally transform this previously tired property into a vibrant, exciting and modern family home.

Working closely with the architect and property owners, Lomax + Wood helped to design these made-to-order timber windows and doors, which are an integral part to the amazing transformation of the property. The dual finish allowed the Graphite Grey (Ral 7024) to be used externally in combination with cedar cladding and an oak feature window, while the Lime White internally gave the brighter internal perspective required. Spray applied micro-porous paint was used in combination with engineered knot free timber to reduce maintenance and ensure the longevity of the products.

The casement windows operate on friction hinges to allow the outside to be cleaned from the inside, while made-to-order handles in polished chrome are used to operate the windows and doors.
