Big Foot Systems, which leads the way in freestanding support solutions for rooftop plant, has launched the innovative Lock ‘n’ Load Frame. Designed to support mini split outdoor air conditioning (AC) units the revolutionary Lock ‘n’ Load is a freestanding, non-penetrative frame. Offering installers an off-the-shelf support solution to speed up AC installations on site, the Lock ‘n’ Load is truly ground-breaking with stand set-up taking under 15 minutes.

Joining the extensive Big Foot range, the Lock ‘n’ Load Frame is a simple AC support solution for engineers who have previously fabricated DIY supports out of struts as a quick fix on site. Simple to fit, the Lock ‘n’ Load boasts an easy push and lock system speeding up on site assembly, saving valuable time on an AC installation. Conveniently available from local distributor branches boxed and ready to use on site, this lightweight pre-fabricated solution allows engineers to collect and carry the frame to the project site and construct it easily and simply, saving engineers time and hassle.

Sam Birch, Product Manager at Big Foot Systems said: “The Lock ‘n’ Load Frame was designed to accelerate the speed of air conditioning installation on site for customers and to simplify the installation process by removing the need to fabricate a support on site. The idea was to have a quick, simple boxed product for air conditioning support that could be sourced from local distributors and installed on site in under 15 minutes.”

Designed to support mini split outdoor AC units, Big Foot Systems’ innovative Lock ‘n’ Load Frame can support AC units on both flat rooftop or ground mounted applications.  The pre-fabricated frame is available ready to install and with only one tool needed to assemble the frame, there is no need to secure it to the building or floor. This allows the lightweight Lock ‘n’ Load frame to be easily moved into position once installed.

The Lock ‘n’ Load can also be used in restricted space for multiple unit installations where the frames can be used in a tower/double stack configuration and the frame allows vertical

adjustment, which ensures a level finish for unit mounting. The Lock ‘n’ Load’s three height options and extension kits make it suitable for a wide range of applications, including projects which have planning height restrictions. Extremely versatile, the frame’s drop on cross bar means the cross bar can be moved with the unit in situ, before securing in place, allowing infinite cross bar adjustments along the end bar.

A non-penetrative frame, the Lock ‘n’ Load is capable of bearing up to 150kg using its renowned Big Foot feet for load spreading. It is ideal for modern lightweight single ply membrane roofs since it does not damage the delicate membrane. Robust and ideal for outside applications, the Lock ‘n’ Load is made from hot dip galvanised metal work with a 10-year guarantee.
