Shape your Space! Taking a simple shoe box, and using fabric scraps, pieces of paper, lolly sticks, bottle caps, and sweet wrappers you will make a box that reflects your current experiences, emotions, and surroundings. It could be a real or imagined space. You could make a box on your own or with friends and family. The boxes created can be used as conversation pieces, to tell stories, or just to look at. You could begin your making journey by looking at our large model of Bloomsbury and think about what London means to you.
The boxes will go on display as part of the Shaping Space - Architectural Models Revealed exhibition.
The Giant Doll's House project is the initiative of Catja de Haas and is run as part of her architectural practice.
This event is open to families, students and young people.
This event is part of the Shaping Space: Architectural Models Revealed programme, funded by the AHRC, led by the V&A and the Building Centre.
We would like to thank our supporters; 4D Modelshop, Amalgam Modelmaking, B.15 Workshop, Drawing Matter, GHA Group, The University of Manchester, MAP Laboratory (CNRS), and Model Platform.
