BIG projects with Kai-Uwe Bergmann

Talk
Tue 28 Feb 2017

Learn about the Serpentine Pavilion 2016 alongside other Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) projects. Kai-Uwe Bergmann, a partner at BIG, will give a special presentation on the practice's work in London.

BIG’s architecture emerges out of a careful analysis of how contemporary life constantly evolves and changes. They consider a number of factors such as the influence of multicultural exchange, global economic flows, and communication technologies that together require new ways of architectural and urban organisation. BIG creates architecture by mixing conventional ingredients such as living, leisure, working, parking, and shopping; by hitting the fertile overlap between pragmatism and utopia. They are currently working on Battersea Power Station Malaysia Square and are involved in a number of key projects throughout Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.

This talk is curated by The Built Environment Trust with thanks to BIG.
