Xpelair is introducing the CarbonLite range of innovatively designed fans which have a long working life and low energy use.

They significantly reduce carbon emissions and aid compliance with both parts L & F of the Buildings Regulations when used as part of a wider ventilation strategy in buildings.

The Xpelair CarbonLite range from Applied Energy demonstrates their commitment to low energy and low carbon products. Richard Scott, Director of Marketing at Applied Energy said “Across the company’s entire range we take a responsible approach to the design, manufacture, packaging and specification of every product; actively seeking ways to improve performance, while giving full recognition to environmental impact and sustainability”.

“The Xpelair CarbonLite range takes this a step further, seeking out very low energy usage solutions and products which can directly contribute to lowering the carbon impact of buildings”.

“The new Xpelair UltraDC and UltraEC fan technology, for example, greatly lowers energy use and extends motor life, thus significantly reducing ‘whole life costs’”.

As part of Xpelair’s sustained move to develop increasingly sustainable products the Xpelair XRA and XMV roof cowls are now 100% recyclable. Products from Xpelair’s Xcell (Mechanical Extract with heat Recovery) and Xplus (Mechanical Extract Ventilation) ranges are now listed in SAP Appendix Q ‘Best Practice’ for SAP calculations.

Ventilation is essential to health and the protection of the fabric of a building, but over-ventilating can lose valuable heat. The Xpelair domestic products provide the ventilation requirements of Building Regulation Part F1. A major feature includes energy saving auto-controls designed to respond to the changing indoor air quality, without the need for intervention from the occupant.
