TrägerHaus | an incredible new-build home with stunning views

12 Jun 2019
Case study

This incredible cantilever house on the edge of Glasgow is truly unique and features six sets of IDSystems theEDGE2.0 sliding doors that enable the house to enjoy spectacular views over the Cathcart Castle Golf Club.
Designed by the brilliant team at HAUS the contemporary home was named as one of the top 100 houses in Scotland by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland and features five bedrooms and a large open plan living space that all look out over the course.

From the road the house looks relatively unassuming, but because it is built on a sloping site the three storey rear elevation provides a dramatic contrast including a stunning sailing cantilever overhang (complete with three-panel theEDGE2.0 sliding doors, Juliet balcony and angled fixed frame gable end glazing) that features the master suite and mezzanine bedroom area.

The lower ground floor features the main living spaces in the house and is dominated by the large open plan kitchen/diner that seamlessly connects to the elevated terrace thanks to the 11m wide, 6-panel set of theEDGE2.0 sliding doors. The terrace is surrounded by glass balustrades and provides the perfect entertaining space.

At the garden level there are four bedrooms, all featuring 3.5m wide; two panel sets of sliding doors along with the houses very own sauna and gym.
