Sunsquare Factory Investment Sees Production of Four Skylights an Hour

In a year that has seen extraordinary sales growth, Bury St. Edmunds-based skylight manufacturer Sunsquare is now capable of producing four skylights an hour.

As the first rooflight manufacturer to invest £250,000 into a five-axis machine centre, the company offers unrivalled quality assured rooflights in record time.

Sunsquare’s latest arrivals are three Elumatic machinery centres enabling not only for a swift, but cost-effective production process.

In addition, the ribbon has just been cut to its new glazing factory, which separates the two main production phases for each skylight. Whilst one factory is home to the latest machinery for creating frames and upstands, the other houses the preparation and installation of the glass.

Justin Seldis, Managing Director of Sunsquare, comments:

“In 2015 we are taking our internal processes several steps further. From early next year, a bespoke piece of software will allow an unprecedented chain of events to unfold creating the world’s first seamless rooflights order-to-delivery system.”

Clients can now instantly be provided with a delivery date upon placing their order. Even the dimensions are sent directly to the relevant machining centres ready to be transformed into a high specification skylight.

With four skylights an hour now being produced, Sunsquare is one of, if not the quickest rooflight manufacturer. By far the majority of its products are dispatched within 3 weeks.
