Partition Walls Provide Additional Hospitality Space At Lifton Strawberry Fields

Specialist manufacturer of folding partitions, Building Additions, has recently installed an Operable Wall and Glass Folding Door system to provide adaptable hospitality space at Lifton Strawberry Fields Farm Shop in Devon.

After the recent expansion of the business to include a barn style restaurant and new function room, greater flexibility was needed when hosting occasions such as wedding receptions, parties and corporate events.

An Operable Wall system was installed to separate the farm shop restaurant from the function room, presenting a swift and efficient space saving partition with sound insulation to an acoustic level of up to 59dB.

The system uses individual interlocking panels to divide the two areas so that the restaurant is able to remain open whilst an event is taking place and also to increase the space available for larger functions.

Building Additions has also manufactured a bespoke glass folding partition to maximise the potential of the function room which leads out to the newly landscaped gardens. The made-to-measure hinged system is thermally broken to eliminate glass condensation. It uses a 50mm thick aluminium frame with multi point locking panels, powder coated in silver to match customer requirements. The folding doors enable the option of using the outside space for events or to increase the hospitality space by opening the folding doors and having a marquee positioned directly outside the building.
