New specification for Oak Veneer feature doors from JELD-WEN

JELD-WEN, one of the UK’s leading timber doors and windows manufacturers, has enhanced the specification of its oak doors within its real wood veneer feature doors range.

The Oak Oregon, Aston and Shaker doors have been enhanced by introducing American White Oak veneer and are supplied with a 15mm complementing American White Oak outer edge lipping to offer greater scope for trimming during installation. JELD-WEN has also added extra sizes into its ranges, to further extend choice for buyers.

All these popular door styles can be found in the NEW 2011/2012 door catalogue from JELD-WEN, which launches in October.

Chris Miller, Product Manager at JELD-WEN, said: “The new specification offers a more authentic veneer finish for these popular door styles.   American White Oak is widely used throughout the home for wooden floors, worksurfaces and other finishes and these door ranges will therefore provide the perfect complement to both traditional and contemporary homes.  The new specification also has practical implications too, as there is a greater trimmable edge, which means it is even easier to install.”

The Oregon White Oak range features ten designs, with a combination of classic four and six panel and attractive cottage door styles as well as glazed versions and a bi-fold option to complete the range.

The White Oak Aston range features two looks, with either a raised and fielded panel or a complementary glazed design, with a choice of obscure or clear glass.

The White Oak Shaker range comes in three attractive styles, including a single panel door with the option of clear or obscure glazing and a four panel design, with the option of clear glazing.

JELD-WEN’s real oak veneer feature doors are highly engineered to ensure they can withstand the constant changes in temperature and humidity caused by modern central heated systems, without warping or splitting.  These doors are also offered with full chain of custody certification, which ensures they originate from well managed forests.

Chris Miller continues: “Oak as a finish in the home continues to rise in popularity due to its natural beauty and durability, which means it holds great appeal for buyers.  We are expected lots of interest in the new specification for these doors to meet the needs of today’s homeowners.”
