Barronsfield Grange, the luxury housing scheme developed by Westpoint Homes has been named ‘Best Development and Best Show House’ at the Glasgow Herald Property Awards. Westpoint Homes is one of Scotland’s most highly-regarded private home builders, with an extensive range of unique developments across central Scotland. Tobermore, top paving and walling manufacturer who supply products throughout the UK and Ireland, have provided £40, 000 worth of beautiful block paving products featured in the award winning development in Newton Mearns.

Andrew McFarlane, chairman of The Glasgow Herald Property Awards, was on the judging panel and has highlighted the rigorous process that each entry for these awards goes through. Andrew explains, "Every single property is visited by two judges, then the entire panel sits down to discuss all the entries. We are convinced that it gives considerable credibility to those rewarded."

Located on the eastern edge of Newton Mearns on the side of a historic farmstead, and with views across the fields to Fenwick Moor, the stunning homes of Barronsfield Grange cost from between £350,000 to £700,000. Each home is unique, and is designed and built to combine traditional, generous proportions and craftsmanship with modern comforts. With amenities such as exceptional schools, great shopping, fine golf courses, a popular country club and the fact that Glasgow is just minutes away, Newton Mearns has become one of the most desirable places to live in the UK.

The vintage-themed landscape of Barronsfield Grange consists of a combination of Tobermore Tegula, Hydropave Shannon Duo and Historic block paving, as well as Kerbsett and nostalgic County Stone walling all in the mellow, autumn tones of Bracken.

The unique tumbled edges of Tobermore Tegula block paving create a timeworn appearance, making Tegula the ideal choice for a landscape scheme like Barronsfield Grange where aesthetics and style are primary considerations. Hydropave Shannon Duo block paving is designed with low maintenance as a priority and the smooth surface is easily trafficked by vehicles, wheelchairs, as well as accommodating a safe play area for children around these lavish family homes. Hydropave products are a permeable paving solution, providing a sustainable method of water drainage and the removal of pollution.

Historic Flag is Tobermore’s top selling hard wearing flag which provides the look and feel of traditional natural stone with similar hard wearing characteristics. The fettled edges and riven face add to the warmth and charm of the Historic range and make them adaptable for both old and new properties. Similarly, Country Stone creates the look of natural stone. Country Stone is a walling product with a rugged, aged finish which is increasingly sought after by home owners and planners. The aesthetic qualities of the paving and walling products chosen by Westpoint Homes for this scheme complement each other perfectly in achieving the warm, rustic character of Barronsfield Grange.
