Junckers Beech for Judo Club

20 Oct 2006
News
900 m² of Junckers solid hardwood floors form part of a remarkable new building designed for Dartford Borough Council by the architectural practice Make. One of Britain's Olympic training grounds, The Dartford Dojo is likely to become home to the British Judo team and also forms an important community facility. Junckers solid hardwood floors make an unexpected appearance on the Dojo's walls. Untreated Beech Harmony, coated with a fire resistant lacquer, forms a simple, aesthetically pleasing panelling. In tune with this, Junckers Sylvasport premium is laid as floors throughout the building's walkways, stairs and studios including the main Dojo floor surrounding the specialist matting area where judo is taught. The flooring contractor for the project was Pica Floorings Ltd. The architects were Make architects; specialist interior fit out was by Cre8 Interiors.
