News
Jablite has recently signed up to become a member of the Supply Chain Sustainability School.

The Supply Chain Sustainability School is a free, virtual learning environment that aims to help construction suppliers and sub-contractors develop their sustainability knowledge and competence.

The School was founded by Skanska with support from Kier, Willmott Dixon, Lend Lease, Morgan Sindall, Sir Robert McAlpine, CEEQUAL and Aggregate Industries and represents a common approach to addressing sustainability within the supply chain.

The School is part funded by Construction Skills via the Growth Fund, and is being delivered by Action Sustainability and Responsible Solutions “The School provides our suppliers with practical and free support all delivered by an independent third party, Action Sustainability,” explains Steve Cook, Willmott Dixon.

“We invited Jablite to join the School, because we want members that are interested and committed to working towards a  more sustainable future. We recently worked with Jablite on a site collection recycling scheme, which was a great example of how innovation in sustainable practices can deliver a strong commercial business case and benefit the environment.”

Sue Ballard, Head of Innovations at Jablite, comments: “The Supply Chain Sustainability School is an excellent idea and, it is exactly the kind of initiative that Jablite wants to be involved in to enable us to further develop our thinking around sustainability

“Energy efficiency and sustainability are at the heart of our products and processes, but there is always room to learn and improve and I am sure our business will benefit from becoming a student again!”
