Showcasing this year’s most important products and previewing a number of new developments, Helvar is bringing its widest range of lighting control products yet to The Arc Show 2011.

With the aim of seamlessly combining commercial and architectural lighting systems, offering instant scene-setting control and allowing lighting designers to blend decorative displays with function and performance, Helvar is set to complement its expanded range of multi-channel 458 Dimmers with innovations such as Touch Studio, as well as a new range of face plate designs.

Touch Studio is a unique Helvar control package that bridges the gap between efficient building-wide monitoring and control, and scene-setting capability for specific areas.  Touch Studio allows lighting to be operated via PC – both centrally and from individual workstations. There is no requirement for additional cabling and hardware and installers can take advantage of the system for retro-fit projects, with no barrier to future expansion, due to the flexible, modular nature of Helvar’s DALI based control systems. There will be a working demonstration on the stand.

The full range of 458 Dimmers – including the slim-line, 8 channel variant through to the commercially focused 16 and 24 channel models are on show.  The 458 is an Ethernet backed, multi-application induction dimmer that delivers scalability and maximum flexibility throughout each fit-out stage and, using a range of control modules, brings full dimming, switching and ballast control capability to a broad spectrum of lighting projects, from residential to decorative through to commercial.

The new face plate designs have refreshed the Helvar’s long-standing existing plates. The design offers an aesthetic look that is distinctive and fits nicely with the latest interior design trends. The complete range has undergone a makeover and the Arc Show is the European debut of the new look.

Also on display, will be the compact, luminaire based control unit iDim.  Available in 6 out-of-box application modes, removing the need for on-site programming, the iDim range of controllers delivers energy saving lighting control, regardless of the size or complexity of a building’s layout, drastically simplifying commercial lighting control specification.
