Brooking steel windows chosen for Hampstead Garden Suburb home

Project

Hampstead Garden Suburb, in north London, is internationally recognised as one of the finest examples of early twentieth century domestic architecture and town planning. It was designated as a Conservation Area in 1968, and the older part of the Suburb was designated a ‘Conservation Area of Outstanding Architectural or Historic Interest’ in 1977.

Clement developed the Brooking range of steel windows as sensitive replacements for existing fenestration in the Suburb.  The new windows look incredibly similar to the original windows and doors, but offer much improved specification.

The owner of this wonderful, detached red brick home chose Clement to manufacture and install the new bespoke steel doors and windows. The slim frames, coupled with handles polyester powder coated to match look perfectly in keeping with the character of the property.

Clement Windows Group CEO, Peter Clement, said: “It has been a privilege for us to have enjoyed such a long association with the residents of the Hampstead Garden Suburb. We are proud of our reputation for high quality and innovation, which has been earned following hundreds of successful steel window and door installations at a variety of different properties in the Suburb - from Arts & Crafts to Art Deco to fine individual architect-designed homes.  We look forward to being involved in many more projects in the area in the future.”
