Approved National and International Best Practice Build Details are featured within a new 190 page publication that contains the most extensive range of construction product solutions to protect the building envelope. Building envelope protection at all levels, from below ground to roof top.

Released by the only UK specialist manufacturer of cavity trays awarded European Technical Approval, this latest edition identifies where current regulations and standards can be improved and contains construction solutions not previously released. It is considered essential reading for all disciplines.

Cavity Trays of Yeovil is the longest-established cavity tray company and has a proven track record.

It was in the 1920’s that a West Country family of builders first started fabricating “damp courses and other devices to allay the fears of the unpredictable and volatile English climate”.  Today the fourth generation of the same family continue the tradition. The terms ‘Cavity Tray’ and ‘Cavitray’ created by Eric Shillabeer, the founder of the limited company, have become part of everyday building language. With its operating centre still based in Yeovil, Somerset, Cavity Trays supplies internationally and its approved products are accompanied with a performance warranty for the benefit of architect, builder and client.

Preformed envelope protection includes fire barriers and reveal closers to compartmentise cavity wall construction.

The Type P Parapet Cavitray overcomes the structural deficiency suffered when a parapet is constructed with DPC built into both skins resulting in all upper masonry resting on a potential slip plane. The Type P is preformed and supports itself, leaving one outer skin structurally uninterrupted.
