Solus Ceramics are launching a revolutionary antibacterial porcelain tile range. The antibacterial product is added to the mineral mixture used in the production of porcelain tiles at the very beginning of the manufacturing process. This generates an extremely effective antibacterial reaction, which in turn permanently alters the structure of the final tile product. Tests done by the University of Modena’s Department of Microbiology have shown the patented product to be highly effective, since it can achieve a 99,9% reduction of the four main bacteria families: Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It has also been discovered that the antibacterial benefits are magnified in moist environments.

The antibacterial material is present throughout the entire body of the tile and lasts indefinitely producing beautiful floor and wall tiles perfect for use in health structures, research labs, crèches, schools, swimming pools, sports facilities, wellness centres, locker rooms, toilets, kitchens and canteens, restaurants, agricultural and food works, etc.

Solus Ceramics are currently able to offer around 15 ranges of antibacterial tiles comprising of over 100 plain and natural shades in many finishes and sizes.
