What's happening in your borough?

Talk
Mon 18 Jul 2016

This evening event will invite London boroughs to give a quick-fire presentations of their growth strategies. Come along to find out which areas are set to see the most change, how London’s projected growth is being accommodated, and how the boroughs are catering to their communites.

This will be the first event in a series dedicated to supporting central, inner and outer London authorities through the formation of a borough-wide network: creating a platform that enables councils to share best practice, present new opportunities for regeneration to the wider NLA network, and discuss common issues in this new era of austerity. The network aims to provide support to boroughs to allow them to remain resilient in all areas of delivery of their local area – a vital element in the ongoing development of London as a whole - and will form a range of events: from high-level roundtable discussions, to networking and public-centred discussions.

Speakers include:

Chair: Nick Jones, head of strategic communications at GL Hearn Limited

Richard Wilson, regeneration and place manager at LB Camden  Peter George, programme director at LB Enfield

Sandra Roebuck, acting director of strategic and neighbourhood delivery at LB Lambeth

Jonathan Martin, director of Investment and Delivery, LB Waltham Forest

Colin King, deputy team leader placemaking at LB Croydon

Deirdra Armsby, Director of Regeneration and Planning, LB Newham

Jonathan Wade, head of forward planning, planning and borough development at RB Kensington and Chelsea

Michael Ritchie, principal officer - place shaping, strategic planning at LB Tower Hamlets

What's happening in your borough? is part of the NLA Boroughs stream and the updated Borough Strategies exhibition.
