In a mountainous area surrounded by dense vegetation, The Son La Ceremony Dome, constructed by VTN architects, is designed as a space to hold large-scale events.
The Vietnamese complex is mainly constructed from bamboo, a popular local material. The domes are inspired by traditional bamboo baskets, and each features a double-layered structure and roof made from thatch. A skylight on top of each dome allows natural light to seep through and promotes ventilation.
The complex includes a cafe space, foyer, lounge and ceremonial halls. Trees rise above the domes creating a shaded environment, and the waterfall and rose garden (located near the halls), blend into the natural scenery surrounding the complex.
