The American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) is the leading international trade association for the US hardwood industry, representing the committed exporters and the major American hardwood trade associations in the United States. Products such as sawn lumber, veneer, plywood, flooring, mouldings and dimensional materials form part of this portfolio. AHEC runs a worldwide programme to promote American hardwoods in over 50 export markets providing technical literature, feature articles in trade journals, attending trade shows and providing an ongoing educational seminar programme directed at designers and construction professionals such as architects, engineers, specifiers, contractors and the hardwood timber traders.
