Wastewater solutions provider, WPL, welcomes Dave Parkinson into the newly created role of Supply Chain Manager. The creation of this role is part of an on-going, internal improvement program that sees the implementation of a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software system that will improve efficiency within WPL’s manufacturing operations.
This implementation also facilitates transferring their existing manual order system to an online ‘paperless’ system allowing more transparency and efficiency between the sales and manufacturing functions.
Dave has been working in the wastewater treatment industry for the last four years and prior to that in consumables distribution and the automotive industry, in roles spanning from Production Engineer to Contract Manager. His recent experience in supply chain management is already benefitting WPL carrying on the good work already in place, and he also has an MBA, which will be invaluable when implementing the new system.
Dave says, “It has been refreshing to become part of such a forward thinking team who appreciate the need to change and adapt to meet the challenges a difficult market has presented to us. I’m really looking forward to playing my part in the continuing success of WPL.”
