Windermere Mobility Shelter

Able Canopies have recently launched a new addition to their product range – The Windermere Mobility Shelter. The shelter provides cover to mobility scooters protecting them from the weather and theft, which make them ideal for overlooked areas or areas without CCTV.

A mobility shelter has many benefits, one being that it can increase the life span of your mobility scooter. A mobility shelter also has many advantages over other sources of cover i.e. scooter covers and mobility sheds as the Shelter is made from waterproof materials that are leak-free and fire proof, giving you full peace of mind know that your mobility scooter is well protected. Keeping your scooter in storage whilst not being used also means you can clean your scooter less often as it is completely covered.

The Windermere Mobility Shelter has a robust steel construction that is fitted with polycarbonate sheets using a unique clamping system which dramatically reduces the need to drill holes, avoiding water leakage and bulging of the panels.

The polycarbonate sheets come in a choice of clear, opal and bronze and the steel frame can be galvanised or powder coated to any standard RAL colour.

 A standard Windermere mobility shelter contains two bays – each bay can be used to park two mobility scooters allowing the users plenty of space to access the scooter and the charging points that are included with the shelter.

Each shelter includes two sliding doors which can be locked with the use of a padlock or other device. Electricity power points are supplied with the shelter (two per bay).

The Windermere Mobility Shelter has a base plate fixing to concrete foundation. A concrete base can be supplied by Able Canopies at an extra cost. You can also add solar lighting to the shelter making it more accessible during the evening hours if required.
