Unique triple spiral staircase tiled using Ultra Tile ProRapid RS

Rapid setting natural stone adhesive, Ultra Tile ProRapid RS was used to tile a spectacular spiral staircase in a privately owned house. 

When entering this privately owned Cambridgeshire property you’re stunned by the spectacular spiral staircase spanning all three floors of the house. 

Specialists in natural materials, and long-standing Ultra Tile stockist, Alistair Mackintosh supplied the chosen cream marble tiles, adhesive and grout for this chic project.  The entire three-story staircase, galleried landings and ground floor were tiled with ProRapid RS and FlexJoint grout both from the Ultra Tile range.

Expertly formulated with exceptional bond strength, flexibility and fast setting capabilities, ProRapid RS is ideal for natural stone applications.

The adhesive can be applied at a bed thickness of 3-12mm on walls or floors.  Its open time is 40 minutes and it will be set after just 2 hours drying time.

The product is suitable for both wet and dry conditions and is formulated to adhere to most common substrates including screwed and fixed over-boarded wooden floors.  It can be used internally or externally.

High polymer content increases the product’s flexibility and ensures its compatibility with under floor heating systems. 

Ultra Tile ProRapid RS conforms to the requirements of EN 12004 Class C2FT and is available in 20kg grey or white.

Alistair Mackintosh’s team of fitters then grouted the tiles with Ultra Tile FlexJoint in limestone.

For joint widths from 1-20mm, FlexJoint is ideal for internal or external use.  It has a super fine texture and is polymer modified for ultimate flexibility.  The product boasts mould resistant and water repellent capabilities. 

The homeowners are now enjoying living in the luxury of their new home.
