Training Centre Attracts Visit From Local MP

The newly created Training and Innovation centre at the Doncaster site of one of the town’s most iconic businesses has already attracted huge amounts of interest including a visit by Doncaster Central MP Rosie Winterton.

The fully interactive training centre at Pegler Yorkshire has been created with the aim of providing a facility where plumbing industry professionals can utilise the expertise and experience of the team behind the product to further understand its workings. As a systems and solutions provider, Pegler Yorkshire’s training centre allows its quality products to be tested, viewed and the benefits of each clearly understood allowing the company to fully connect with its customers in a variety of ways.

Doncaster Central MP, Rosie Winterton commented: “I am keen to encourage young people into an engineering career and have recently launched a competition for secondary school children to design a product they would like to see made into a real life proto-type.  The facility created by Pegler Yorkshire further demonstrates that the engineering industry is ever evolving and we should place huge importance on developing the skills of not only our youngsters but individuals who will benefit from the innovation of others.

“It is great to see a Doncaster company leading the way in its industry with such an engaging and innovative facility.”

Rosie was given a tour of the facility by Group Managing Director Stuart Anderson and Marketing and Business Development Director Phill Jackson.  She was able to see how to balance a system, view a fully fitted underfloor heating system, experience live demonstrations and view training packages via interactive touch screen facilities.  There is also an enclosed training pod where up to twelve people can receive detailed training on products of their choice.

Stuart Concluded: “We are delighted our Training and Innovation Centre has created such interest and that Rosie was keen to visit.  As an industry leader we are continually developing new and innovative products to provide our customers with solutions that achieve their sustainability and installation goals.  This centre will ensure our customers are kept abreast of these latest developments, how they work and ultimately how they provide the solution.”
