Top BSS Customers Beat Thousands to Head to the Grand Prix

After the hugely successful BOSS Formula Win Promotion from BSS Industrial, three lucky customers have crossed the finish line and taken the 1st, 2nd and 3rd spots on the podium to race off to one of several European Grand Prix’s in 2010.

Mr Donald Barrs of T&D Barrs – a BSS Luton customer – scooped the coveted first prize of a trip for two to the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix in 2010. BSS Maidstone customer Matt Hornby of Hob Mechanical claimed the second prize of a trip to the Italian Grand Prix at the historic Monza circuit. Whilst Dave Ellis of Hiltons, Nottingham took the third prize trip to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Over 2,000 BSS Industrial customers entered the action packed competition, which saw scratch cards presented with the purchase of four different products from BSS Industrial’s own branch range, BOSS. A privileged 44 customers who scratched their cards to reveal five chequered flags travelled from all over the UK last October to descend upon Rockingham motor racing circuit in Northampton for a day of high speed fun before the top winners were announced.

Peter Sullivan, BSS Industrial Operations Director, said: “The Formula Win promotion was a great chance to reward our loyal BOSS customers in 2009. The race day was a great success and my congratulations go to the lucky three winners who will be heading to the Grand Prix in 2010.”

Customers who took part in the Driving Day were let loose in different vehicles to test their skills and nerves in rally cars, 4x4’s, V8 Supercars and a single seater ‘Formula Rockingham’ racing car. To top the day off, a raffle was held raising £415 for Rainbow Trust – BSS Industrial’s nominated charity since 2008.

To celebrate his win, Mr Barr received his first prize tickets in a special presentation at Bedford Autodrome in Thurleigh, home to the FIA Formula Two and Formula Palmer Audi Championships, as well as the world-renowned PalmerSport driving event. Mr Barr posed with a Formula Jaguar, one of the vehicles that feature in PalmerSport’s line up of seven high performance cars. He received his Monaco tickets from BSS Luton branch manager, Kevin Kingaby.
