TIMBER GIANTS LOOKING TO CREATE SUSTAINABLE LONDON
UK timber giants Arnold Laver Timber World are attending a major event which will highlight making London a sustainable 21st Century city.
Arnold Laver, which has 14 branches across the country, is taking part in the Sustainable London Exhibition at the Building Centre in the capital until April 28.
Sustainable London will show how climate change is being tackled through ideas, strategy and planning across the city and in individual boroughs.
This includes using existing good practice and new technology in major developments such as the Olympic site, neighbourhood developments and individual buildings.
Andrew Laver, managing director at Arnold Laver Timber World, said: “Our strategy is to highlight the use of timber as a sustainable construction material and the benefits of sourcing from a large and experienced multi-regional merchant such as ourselves.
“At Arnold Laver Timber World we are working hard with house builders to develop the idea of carbon neutral homes, as well as ensuring our products and services are well positioned to support the construction activity surrounding the 2012 Olympics.”
The Building Centre is an authoritative reference service for the professional specifiers as well as house builders and home improvers.
