Three former council tower blocks in Manchester have been given a multi-million pound face-lift with help from a leading kitchen company.

Accent Kitchens UK has supplied bespoke kitchen designs for the acclaimed national property developers Urban Splash as part of the ‘Three Towers’ refurbishment on Dalton Street near the city centre.

Urban Splash has radically transformed the look of the former council flats by removing the balconies and extending the floor and ceiling space, while also replacing the former grey panels with bright wooden cladding.

Accent Kitchens, part of the Arnold Laver Group, is supplying a range of contemporary, custom made kitchens, which have been individually designed - in conjunction with Urban Splash - to add value to each of these high-spec properties.

Andrew Robinson, national sales manager for Accent Kitchens UK, said: “We have been working with Urban Splash on a number of developments, but this has been quite a unique renovation to be a part of.

“All the kitchens we have supplied to the ‘Three Towers’ have been expertly designed to meet the architects’ specifications in the buildings.”

Accent Kitchens have created a centre in Bradford, West Yorkshire which enables the national company to develop mock-up kitchens in accordance with any design and specification.

Andrew added: “This allows all of our clients to come and have a look at the layout and style of the kitchens and enables them to make any changes to meet the needs of their building. Once this has been completed we then re-create the kitchens in all the dwellings.”

The Three Towers have been named after the Pankhurst family, Emmeline, Christabel and Sylvia, three women from Manchester instrumental in the suffragette movement.

Each building is home to 62 apartments, 48 with one-bedroom and 14 two-bedroom corner flats. There are five on each floor with the ground floor providing two two-bedroom and two bathroom apartments with private garden spaces.

The flats come complete with a retro style kitchen, fully fitted bathroom, timber flooring to the living room and kitchen areas with carpet in the bedrooms.
