REHAU’s Passivhaus certified REHAU Polytec 50S composite curtain walling system now holds full certification from the Centre of Window Cladding and Technology (CWCT).
This means that the system can be specified for use in many more commercial new building projects, having achieved excellent results for wind resistance and water penetration using the standard test methods for building envelopes including the dynamic aero engine assessment.
REHAU fabricators manufacturing the system can also go on to have CWCT site tests carried out to demonstrate the performance of their curtain walling on site, and the first of these has already successfully taken place on a new exclusive apartment development in Edinburgh.
The REHAU Polytec 50S system is on show at the new REHAU Hub located on the ground floor of the Building Centre, where it has been used to form the wall separating the office area from the new exhibition space.
Visitors can see how the composite system successfully combines the economies of PVC-U with the advantages of conventional transom/mullion steel construction with slim face profiles of just 50mm.
They can also get #knowhau advice on the structural and thermal performance of REHAU Polytec 50S from REHAU’s team of commercial sales managers.
