Over 1,400 people joined us on 3 May 2012 to celebrate our 80th anniversary. Over 30 free events took place during the day and an evening party was held to celebrate eight decades as an information hub for the construction industry.
Highlights included an Archigram reunion, the one-man show Buckminster Fuller Live, a visit from HRH The Duke of Gloucester, a McLaren F1 Simulator Car to test drive and various seminars on design, marketing and product information. Book launches, film screenings, lectures, product demonstrations and more all contributed to a full day of education and entertainment.
