When Elland based contractor, Marshall Construction Ltd, approached Structherm with plans for two hotels in the North of England, Structherm’s Fastbuild system soon proved to be the obvious choice.
After considering the various build methods available, both contractor and client felt that Fastbuild offered many benefits, including unrivalled fire resistance, excellent airtightness and acoustics, no risk of shrinkage and speedy build times.
Orders for Fastbuild walls, floors, lift shafts and staircases for a Premier Inn in Halifax and a Ramada Encore in Gateshead were placed after Structherm
’s design team worked closely with Marshalls to provide the most appropriate solution for both of the schemes. This ensured that the Fastbuild system was not only a suitable build method, but that it would also offer the necessary high quality build required.
Both projects expect to commence on site in the next few weeks, with completion later in the summer 2011.
