Steve McDonald has joined British manufacturer Ideal Commercial Boilers in the role of Business Development Manager. His appointment expands the company’s UK team of sales and technical representatives, strengthening its position as a leading commercial boiler manufacturer.
Steve is responsible for accounts in the South West and South Wales, providing a consultative service to all customers including contractors, consultants, merchants and engineers. He is also responsible for identifying new business opportunities in the area, ensuring that Ideal Commercial Boilers’ extensive expertise and comprehensive range of boilers and Heat Interface units (HIUs) are well known to customers looking to specify high efficiency, reliable products.
Steve brings with him a wealth of industry experience, having worked within the plumbing and heating markets in a variety of sales and technical roles for over 35 years. Since leaving school, he spent the first part of his career working within the merchant market before expanding his specialist technical knowledge, taking on roles for well-known manufacturers in the commercial plumbing and heating industries. His past roles have included Sales Manager, Technical Sales Engineer and National Sales Manager.
