Splashing out on stylish kitchens

A leading kitchen specialist from Bradford has teamed up with an award-winning property developer.

Accent Kitchens, part of the Arnold Laver Group, will supply the kitchens for the multi-million pound Urban Splash regeneration project at Lister Mills, Bradford.

Lister Mills, once the largest silk mill in the world, was bought by Urban Splash in 2000 and has been converted into stylish apartments and modern business properties.

More than 160 contemporary custom-made kitchens for Velvet Mill - the second phase development of the project - will be produced and installed following the completion of the kitchens for the Silk Warehouse scheme.

Accent Kitchens has designed and installed bespoke kitchens in a range of prestigious Urban Splash projects, including Burton Place and MOHO in Manchester, and the Budenberg development in Cheshire.

Andrew Robinson, national sales manager of Accent Kitchens, said: “It’s great to be working with such an innovative company. The quality apartments retain the character of a truly unique building, and our kitchens will compliment them perfectly.

“The kitchen is often the focal point of a home and our designs really emphasise that. Of course our designs premier focus is functionality, but our attention to detail will also make cooking a more pleasurable experience.”

Simon Gawthorpe, managing director of Urban Splash (Yorkshire), said: “We have used Accent on a number of our projects and it is our confidence in their ability to work with our design team which has made choosing a kitchen manufacturer much easier. Accent has a great reputation for designing quality kitchens and we can’t wait to see the finished product.”
