The SKA Product Compliance Label is live – with The Building Centre’s Specifinder as the only online directory that is fully supported to identify compliant products.
SKA Rating is the RICS-operated environmental assessment tool for sustainable fit-outs for offices, retail and restaurants, and, soon, higher education. Usage of this fit-out assessment scheme has rapidly grown and is now expanding internationally.
The SKA Product Compliance Label is being managed for RICS by Grigoriou Interiors, who have partnered with Specifinder to flag up all compliant products on the directory. Manufacturers and suppliers can have their products reviewed and subject to them being compliant, will receive certification to enable them to market their products as SKA compliant. The objective is to help specifiers identify those products that are likely to be appropriate for projects aiming to achieve SKA Rating certification.
Many suppliers have been asking for years to be able to obtain a recognition for products and materials that are meeting Ska’s criteria and the Ska Product Compliant Label has been designed to achieve exactly that.
For Designers and specifiers it means a reduction of design research time as it will be much easier and efficient to find and identify suitable products whilst for manufacturers the marketing opportunities are plenty:
