With an extensive and proven track within the industry, Martin is a well-known personality and boasts an impressive CV spanning some of the biggest and most successful bathroom brands. His career started in the North East where he spent 8 years working as part of the family bathroom retail operation. Having helped the business achieve several awards, including kbb ‘Master Retailer for Bathrooms’, Martin moved into the realms of bathroom manufacture joining what was then Spring Ram, in retail sales management for the Vernon Tutbury and BC Sanitan brands. Continuing a successful career path, Martin remained with the group for 8 years, through the formation of the Jacuzzi UK Group in 2000. His final 4 years were spent as Group Sales Director responsible for all the Jacuzzi UK brands.
Following a 3 year break from the industry, during which Martin helped run his wife’s event management company, he took the plunge back into bathrooms joining Kohler in 2009 where he was responsible for the commercial management of the Kohler and Daryl brands in the UK.
Fast forward to the present day, when Martin describes his rationale for joining the Hansgrohe UK senior management team as ‘an opportunity too good to turn down.’ Highly experienced in commercial and management roles and with an in-depth knowledge of the bathroom market, Martin will lead the already successful UK sales team of 25 and looks forward to taking the business to the next level.
Martin comments, “Hansgrohe is a brand that I’ve admired since my early retail days. It will be both exciting and a challenge to work across all channels with overall responsibility for the UK sales strategy and I can’t wait to get started.”
