Scolmore International continues to grow and expand its electrical accessories and lighting business and has just announced the acquisition of ESP (Electronics Line UK Ltd) - a specialist supplier of security, fire and intruder protection products - by way of a joint venture between Scolmore International and Andy Clements, the current ESP managing director.
Whilst the acquisition means ESP will now be part of the Scolmore Group, the company will continue to trade as an independent entity in all of its major functions but will seek to create strong growth over the coming years by utilising the experience and support of Scolmore.
Andy Clements will remain as managing director to a recently created board, alongside Gary Mordue, the managing director of Scolmore.
Gary Mordue, Managing Director of Scolmore says: We have had considerable success over the years, in forming partnerships with companies and brands that represent excellent quality products and exemplary customer service. We see the acquisition of ESP as another example of how two companies can work together, sharing expertise and knowledge, to drive growth and market share.”
Based in Redditch in the West Midlands, ESP is an innovative international developer of security and intruder alarm equipment. The product portfolio encompasses alarm systems, CCTV and video entry solutions, security camera floodlight systems and fire warning systems.
Andy Clements, who created the original concept of ESP 17 years ago, says: “The synergy between ESP and Scolmore was immediately visible. We have both been committed to bringing a well supported, quality product offering to the electrical industry for many years. A shared passion for excellent customer service and exciting range development to meet industry needs is what we believe will be key to our future success.”
