Saint-Gobain PAM launches new Watershed gully grates

Saint-Gobain PAM UK has announced the addition of more choice to its already renowned collection of high performance gully grates. The Watershed range has been specifically developed to meet ever-decreasing budgets, the ongoing needs of engineers and to cope with the rigors of today’s increasing traffic loadings.

With whole-life costs a significant consideration when it comes to specifying and supplying municipal castings, Saint-Gobain PAM UK has developed this range of gully grates designed and engineered to include standard features which help improve operator safety, asset security, efficiency and durability.

Manufactured in the UK from 97 per cent recycled materials, the ductile iron Watershed grate is easy to maintain with its prising slot for quick opening and hinged action.

Its wedged seat principle means that it provides a non-rock performance and the captive hinge allows for fast and easy access, while also enabling increased anti-theft capability. A large water area to help clear surface water quickly from roads means that this grate is fast becoming the choice for many major road networks throughout the UK.

Paul Thompson, marketing manager – municipal castings at Saint-Gobain PAM UK, commented: “The features of the Watershed range have been developed with the client in mind and are designed to allow quick, efficient and cost effective performance while also providing a product of the highest quality and durability.

“The range has been specifically designed to withstand the growth in traffic intensity and the ever changing climatic conditions on our busy road network.”

Latest additions to the range include clear openings of 600x400mm and 500x360mm with left or right-hand opening variants.
