PVC-U edge trims offering improved aesthetics and performance have been introduced to the Safedoors range of composite doors from Permadoor.
Specifically designed and sculpted to accommodate the latest multipoint locking systems and hinge plates, the PVC-U trims are scratch and scuff-resistant, providing a neat, durable and aesthetically pleasing finish to the door edge.
The trims are through-coloured white to complement and coordinate with all standard finishes in the Safedoors offer.
Commenting on the new trims, Adrian Wyatt of Safedoors said: “This latest range enhancement follows more consultation with fabricators, installers and homeowners, who indicated that scratches and scuffs on aluminium trims could become unsightly over a long period of time. The new trims are supplied as standard and should offer real benefits to everyone because of the improved appearance and durability.”
Safedoors is the new retail offer from Permadoor, the UK’s original composite door manufacturer, providing reliable, friendly service and a proven product range, all supported by the £multi-million Epwin Group.
The Safedoors range is one of the first to achieve the highest A rating on both solid and glazed doorsets under the new Door Energy Rating (DER) scheme, proving their thermal efficiency.
Doors are available in red, blue, green, white and black finishes, plus antique oak and rosewood woodgrain effects. All doors come complete with a full multipoint locking system and a choice of suited hardware including a knocker, letterplate, numerals and spyhole in gold, chrome, black, white or satin chrome finishes.
All doors are fully compliant with the latest Building Regulations and have a fully reinforced 70mm PVC-U outer frame, high insulation foam core, strong through-coloured GRP facings and slim, low line aluminium thresholds with twin seals.
Part of the Epwin Group, an independent British business with substantial manufacturing and processing plants in the UK, Permadoor has a full suite of accreditations including ISO 9001(quality), ISO 14001 (environmental) and OHAS 18001 for health and safety.
The Safedoors range is on display at the new Epwin Group stand at the Building Centre in London and will also be showcased on the Epwin Group stand (N1310) at Ecobuild at ExCel, London from 20 - 22 March 2012.
