Following the acquisition of the prestigious German architectural lighting manufacturer in September, RIDI has expanded capacity at its Jungingen production facility, consolidating plant and ensuring continued investment into product development of the high-end Spectral brand.
Complementing RIDI’s existing range of commercial lighting and controls, the Spectral products add a luxury dimension to the range, allowing RIDI to satisfy the broadest specification needs, as Mike Attard, managing director at RIDI UK, explains:
“Spectral had already developed some of the most energy-efficient, innovative luminaire designs, including a large number of iF and Red Dot award-winning luminaires. We are able to offer an eye-catching range of luminaires that are still hand made and bespoke and this enables some first class detailing to be produced.”
Visitors to the Spectral stand, number DG7, will be able to see, for the first time at a UK exhibition, a number of the latest Spectral products, including the versatile IRIS. A circular T5 luminaire, available in surface or wall mounted, suspended and recessed versions, IRIS comprises of a transparent halo body that incorporates a micro-prism diffuser wrapped in opaque or transparent plastic housing. Using bespoke control gear to allow it to have a hollow centre, IRIS features replaceable coloured foils to add a true design feature to this range.
Lanched at Frankfurt fair, the red dot award-winning JEP will also feature at Arc. It features a convexed micro prismatic lens combined with high efficiency LED technology to make it a true suspended workspace luminaire . The LEDs evenly illuminate the large surface area of the panel, which is surrounded by a modern, elegant frame. This integral frame is made from recycled plastic and is produced in a unique manufacturing process. Innovative anti-glare technology provides the technical basis for this well-balanced light concept, which also meets the demands for sustainability as well as LG7. A wall mounted version will also be shown.
Ideal for general purpose lighting, the suspended Plafou is a highly efficient, pendant luminaire comprising of a complex micro-prismatic transparent case that wraps around its technical core. Delivering comfort and convenience, its luminance limitation of 1000cd allows for visual and technical compliance for office and educational environments.
Spectral is part of the RIDI Group, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of architectural luminaires for commercial building applications. Based in Germany, the RIDI Group range extends from simple bare batten fittings through to complex luminaire and control systems.
