RESIDENTIAL FLATS – WESTMINSTER
WATER SYSTEM

Hard water and the associated problems of high energy costs, early replacement of capital equipment and reduced water supply affect Westminster City Council’s buildings.

At Sidmouth House, a purpose built block of flats in North West London, the Council was experiencing limescale problems with the water heaters in each of the 16 flats in the block. If left untreated, the council estimated the water heaters would have needed replacing within eighteen months.

The ScalewatcherTM Electronic Descaling System was fitted to the incoming water inlet pipe servicing all l6 flats. Since then, the water heaters have remained clear of scale providing a payback to Westminster Council in less than twelve months.
