REA’s annual Bioenergy Conference returns in 2 weeks

REA’s annual conference dedicated to bioenergy runs from 6th to 7th October at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. The conference will cover the biodiesel, biogas, biomass and energy-from-waste sectors across transport, heat and power.

This year, the focus is on the ‘decade of delivery’ and the many challenges, including the Renewable Heat Incentive, that need to be addressed in order for bioenergy to fulfil its potential.

We are pleased to announce Minister of State for the Department of Energy and Climate Change, Greg Barker, will be speaking at the event, as well as other key industry experts. Plenary sessions include:

Doug Parr, Chief Scientist & Policy Director, Greenpeace

Adrian Gault, Chief Economist, The Committee on Climate Change

Lord Hunt, Energy Minister ‘08-’10

Tom Burke, Founding Director of E3G

Peter Vadasz, the Mayor of Güssing in Austria

Alan Simpson, former MP and environmental campaigner

The programme has been created to bring you face to face with the key people driving this dynamic industry and to take you right up to date with the latest information, opportunities and experiences in this rapidly changing renewable sector.
