REA comments on the Government’s response to the Committee on Climate Change’s report, published today (see below)

“We draw some comfort from this report. It namechecks the Renewable Heat Incentive, talks of being fully committed to taking action on renewable heat, carefully considering responses to the consultation and setting out detailed proposals after the spending review.
Elsewhere the report talks of the Government’s commitment to feed in tariffs, whilst acknowledging that at present the use of renewable micro-generation remains marginal. It would be strange indeed to cut back tariffs at the review, having acknowledged this.”
