Premiere Products chooses Tarkett flooring for its new Solutions Centre
Premiere Products, an independent manufacturer of high performance floor cleaning chemicals and machines, has recently completed works on a new ‘Solutions Centre’ at its premises in Cheltenham featuring 430m2 of flooring from Tarkett’s iQ and Safetred Safety flooring ranges.
The Centre will play host to visiting retail chains, contract cleaning companies and FM businesses when practical demonstrations and training on floor care will be undertaken. It was therefore essential to choose a high quality flooring that would be hardwearing and durable to cope with heavy use, as well as providing an attractive finish.
Andrew Marquand, Assistant MD for Premiere said: “ It was essential in the planning stages to ensure the flooring was not only 'fit for purpose’, but also a striking feature of our new Solutions Centre, created from a totally refurbished art deco former warehouse. The brief to Tarkett was taken on board by their Technical Services Consultant Geoff Lewin, working in conjunction with myself and the project management team from Interaction of Bath. The end result achieved is exceptional thanks to the professional fitting services of R B Flooring of Bristol. The Solutions Centre flooring is testimony to the versatility of Tarkett’s product range, which has made the Solutions Centre such a unique facility for the cleaning industry”.
The Centre has been designed along the theme of a Formula 1 circuit, with ‘parking areas’ where meetings and demonstrations of smaller cleaning machines can be held. Three complementary colours from Tarkett’s Eminent iQ range were combined to create the track design for the main demonstration area. Eminent’s non-directional pattern and the balance between small and big granules create a natural stone appearance with a soft look. Tarkett’s iQ collection offers outstanding performance and superior cleaning characteristics needing no wax or polish for life, and is recommended for use in commercial heavy traffic areas.
The parking areas were created using two complementary shades from Tarkett’s Safetred Spectrum range, which was specified in order to facilitate demonstrations of the correct cleaning techniques for PU safety flooring within a semi-wet environment.
Safetred Spectrum is a heavy traffic vinyl flooring which is ideal for applications where slip resistance, attractive design and ease of maintenance are key considerations. Safetred Spectrum has an R10 slip resistance rating enhanced by the inclusion of silicon carbide. Its embossed surface gives excellent slip resistance, both wet and dry, and because it meets the new manufacturing standard EN 13845 the slip resistance performance will be sustained throughout the product’s life.
