Powershield security door achieves pas 24 accreditation

Specialists in high performance doors, ASSA ABLOY Security Doors now holds PAS 24 certification for its Powershield security steel door, proving its resistance to forced entry.

Double leaf security doors fitted with standard hardware, vision panels (required by the DDA) and/or transfer grilles, underwent rigorous PAS 24 testing.

This increases ASSA ABLOY Security Doors’ portfolio of certified security doors under the Secured by Design banner, which already includes single and double leaf steel doors, tested to LPS1175 Classes 3 and 4.

Brian Sofley, Sales Director for ASSA ABLOY Security Doors, said: “PAS 24 certification is further proof that Powershield security doors meet the highest performance standards to provide peace of mind and long-term value for money.”

PAS 24 is the minimum police requirement for Secured by Design properties. Doors certified to this standard have resisted a series of prescriptive security tests and professional security attacks using a variety of hand tools, each lasting up to 15 minutes.

Robust in design, Powershield security doors have deep-pocket interlocking steel skins for added strength and rigidity. The steel doorframes offer advanced resistance to attack compared to other door materials and are supplied with dogbolt hinges for increased security.

ASSA ABLOY Security Doors supplies a wide range of steel and timber doors from the UK’s leading security door brands, Powershield and Safeguard, including security, personnel, fire and acoustic doors, plus specialist cleanroom, blast and ballistic doors for maximum security applications.
