In response to increasing customer demand, specialist composite door supplier, Permadoor has appointed Michelle Humphreys as national sales manager.
Suppliers to the social housing sector, Permadoor has seen a shift in the demands of the industry with smaller companies coming to the fore, offering a high volume of low-value contracts. This places an added pressure on customer support and service, and Permadoor has responded with the creation of this new role. As national sales manager, Michelle will manage existing customer accounts while also developing new business opportunities, and bringing her overall expertise to the management team.
With over 15 years’ experience in the affordable and social housing sector Michelle understands the needs of the industry. During this time, she worked as a site manager, coordinating the installation of 90,000 doors, windows and high volumes of hardware
Since her arrival Michelle has been keen to get out and about, and was fortunate to join the team at the ABE 2013 exhibition, and more recently at CIH Housing 2013 in Manchester. “These were both great opportunities for me to meet a number of key, existing customers and also hear first-hand what the industry are asking for, u-values and sustainability are still very much on the agenda.
“As a newly created role I am relishing the challenge of making it my own. I will have the opportunity to not only enhance my skill-set but also build on my experience."
Permadoor sales director, Adrian Sunter said: “We are really pleased to have Michelle on-board. She joins us with an impressive background in the door industry and good market awareness, both of which are invaluable. Her knowledge and understanding mean that she is able to respond effectively and efficiently to the changing face of the social housing sector, which is an important part of the role.”
