Period internal timber doors

Iconic Internal Doors offer a collection of eco-engineered doors manufactured from 100% ‘FSC Pure’ solid timber. The London range has been designed by Iconic to reproduce historical detail at an economical price. The solid construction allows the doors to be site reduced if desired to suit existing openings from 712mm (2’3”) to 915mm (3’) in width and from 1981mm (6’5”) to 1931mm (6’3”) in height.

“Doors in our traditional London collection include the popular London Bead and Butt, a four-panel Victorian door, and the finely moulded London Bolection door,” says Chris Wood, Director, Iconic Internal Doors. “These doors are produced with authentic sections and proportions using traditional joinery shop skills. Products in the London range authentically recreate the Bead and Butt detail while also using deep timber proportions to generously fill out the door, sympathetic with grand period detailing. These heavyweight doors will never be confused with the lightweight imitations commonly found at the local DIY store”.

These traditional designs would normally be a hand made piece by the local joinery shop, carrying a premium price of around £600 but Iconic period equivalents are available from £190.00 – at least two thirds off the price of a bespoke alternative. Glazed options have distinctive decorative period glass which has enhanced period door designs for centuries.

The Iconic door is an engineered wood product that uses solid timber sections which are engineered for enhanced durability, strength and stability. The company’s 100% ‘FSC Pure’ certification identifies that there is no mixed-source material used in this premium timber product. The stock doors are supplied in a semi-finish paint but the bespoke range includes a selection of luxurious Italian style varnished finishes.

The London door-leaf stock sizes allow for up to 25mm to be taken off each side enabling the carpenter to shoot into existing openings. They are available from stock in imperial width sizes: 2/6”, 2’9” and 3’. Please visit our website or call our office for details.
