Pennine Stone MD appears on BBC to comment on UK Spending Review
Richard Walsh – Managing Director of Doncaster based Pennine Stone Ltd – appeared on the main BBC Weekend News on Sunday 6th September to comment on government spending cuts.
Interviewed in Sheffield, Richard Walsh told the BBC Chief Economics Correspondent, Hugh Pym, ‘the government should do no less than what we’ve been doing in manufacturing over the last couple of years. It’s time to batten down the hatches and make sure unnecessary excess is eliminated’. Richard also commented on the need for the coalition government to encourage manufacturing and construction in the UK.
Pennine Stone has recently had an encouraging increase in sales and enquiries, and has increased its workforce by over 30% in the last year.
