Patchwall 45 from Knauf Drywall is emerging as the number one choice for repairs to plastered and rendered walls – especially for making good after changes to plumbing, electrical, and window installations or other fixtures and fittings. Delivering a great finish, this easy to use plaster is fast setting and extremely tough and is conveniently supplied in 10kg bags readily available from builders merchants countrywide.

Specially formulated for quick repairs – and an ideal decorating surface – Knauf Patchwall 45 is a fast drying gypsum plaster. Suitable for one coat applications from 2mm to 20mm thick, Knauf Patchwall 45 is a tough filler with excellent adhesion. “It dries so quickly that if a second layer is needed for a larger repair, it can be put on just 45 minutes after the first,” says Bob Stark, Knauf Drywall’s Product Manager for Plasters.

“Walls often need repairs after building alterations, accidental damage, vandalism, installation of new services or maintenance of existing facilities,” he says. “We’ve drawn on our extensive experience of one coat and projection plasters to develop Knauf Patchwall 45 as the perfect solution for repairs and making good in all types of buildings. Knauf Patchwall 45 is first aid for buildings – and every contractor or maintenance engineer should routinely have it in the van for a neat finish to each job.

“The ease and speed with which Patchwall 45 can be mixed and applied, coupled to a 45 minute setting time, means you can finish the job the same day – even if you need to tile over the top.”

He says increasing sales show that Knauf Patchwall 45 is fast gaining in popularity. “Contractors like it because the bags are easy to carry and the dry plaster has a good shelf life. It is economical to use because you mix just enough for each application, so there is no waste. The wet plaster is applied with a trowel or putty knife and simply smoothed off. When the plaster picks up, you just trowel it to finish. No great skill is required to achieve a professional finished surface,” says Bob Stark.

Knauf Drywall manufactures a full range of plasters, plasterboards, insulating laminates, drywall accessories, metal sections and steel building systems, for domestic and commercial applications. Recently Knauf Drywall introduced the UK industry’s first carbon neutral plasterboard, Knauf Futurepanel. Knauf Drywall also actively promotes recycling from building sites and has a zero waste policy in its energy efficient factories at Sittingbourne in Kent and Immingham on Humberside.
