Park Benefits From Canopy Funding

Rayleigh can now relax and enjoy picnics under their new ‘all weather’ free standing canopy.

Able Canopies recently installed one of their most popular products at the King George V playing field in Rayleigh - The Derwent Free Standing Pagoda which has high UV protection from the sun and is vandal and shatter resistant.

The council required a canopy as there was nowhere to provide shelter for the residents of Rayleigh on their playing field. They felt a canopy would benefit the community as students play in the field after school and if it is a rainy day or they need some shade they can rest under the canopy. Also in the day time families can use the Derwent Pagoda as a picnic area.

The council were very fortunate as the canopy was funded through Cory Environmental – a local scheme that funds various local projects including community improvement schemes.

The Staff at Rayleigh Town Council were very impressed with the canopy and the service provided by Able Canopies.

Here’s what the Town Clerk had to say about the new canopy installation "Very satisfied. The canopy looks very good and well made."
